I grew up as an only child in a house with two people who slept in different bedrooms. I spent the majority of my twenties completely alone and responsible for myself.

Since getting married I've been living in my husband's house with his family. All seven of us together, plus we regularly have visitors over. It's been a significant lifestyle change but in fact I wouldn't have it any other way. Being around loads of people makes you relate to the world in drastically different ways. I don't live inside my head so much anymore.
