Noto Guns, California Homeowner Charged with Manslaughter

A court in Noto Guns, California ruled Wednesday that plaintiff Mary O’Brien was found guilty on count of manslaughter. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

On April 17th, 2021, O’Brien awoke to a burglar in her home. The man threatened to rape her, and she was able to utilize her glock and shoot the burglar in the leg in order to prevent sexual assault. The man then called the police, and admitted to the invasion, and that the homeowner had used a gun to try to kill him.

The SWAT team soon arrived, and ambulances soon took the man to the nearest hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds. SWAT forces were able to neutralize the threat posed by the homeowner who had the gun. After some negotiation with the homeowner, who had insisted she only used the gun as a ‘last resort’ due to being in danger of sexual assault and potential murder, SWAT were able to arrest the woman and take her into custody at Noto Guns local police department.

The man has since pressed charges against the homeowner, who is a white female, 5’3”, and 117 pounds. The man is 6’2” and weighs 243 pounds. The man’s race remains undeclared. The court jury had reached a consensus that due to lack of…
