I have no real regrets in my life. At least, nothing I wish I’d have done sooner couldn’t technically be started now. But at my age I think I’ve developed some perspective that could make your life a little bit easier.

I have the benefit of hindsight.

You might not feel the passage of time for what it is. Simply put, time amounts to perpetual change. If you get locked into a daily routine, being cognizant of this fact is hard. You might think to yourself everything is the same. You’re waking up at 8 am, going to your courses at 9 am, coming home around 2 pm, eating lunch, watching your favorite show, studying, then sleeping. Rinse and repeat, and it’s going to be that way forever.

The problem is, that’s not going to be your life a few years from now. One day, you’ll graduate from university. Life will move you whether you draw the sails or not.

If you’re like me and you need to be emotionally invested in something in order to be willing to do it everyday, you’re in big trouble if you lack the following things.

Vision.

Purpose.
