Yes, Weed Can be FCKING Dangerous

Just because Marijuana isn’t the direct cause of death doesn’t make it not dangerous

I started smoking when I was 21. Naturally, this was when I was at university. Like many students, I acquired my weed from shady sources at parties and other students who were lucky enough to have their medical cards.

Then in 2015, Oregon legalized recreational marijuana. I still remember the first day when shops opened. I went to one store called Flowr of Lyfe and got a whole ounce for sixty bucks on their opening day special. I spent the whole afternoon smoking pretty much nonstop.

Somehow, I still managed to function alright at my classes. I did well, and thought I was responsible enough to quit once weed became a priority, which fortunately, it never did.

Really, the weed only became an issue during the pandemic. I didn’t smoke nearly as much before that. I was living in Arizona, and during a brief period of about 4 months of unemployment, I’d go to and from California and smuggle hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of weed (largely from my savings and the stimulus checks) from unlicensed stores, in which you could easily nab a whole top shelf ounce for 70 bucks.
